Using the site
The site is free to read, with no account and no usage limit for ordinary reading. Automated bulk collection that degrades the service for others is not permitted; the public API and the downloadable dataset exist so nobody needs to scrape.
The data
Wage figures come from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and are works of the U.S. federal government, in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. §105. You may reuse them freely. Attribution to the Bureau is requested by their policy and is the honest thing to do regardless.
This site's own material
The layout, wording and derived tables are the work of this site. Quoting figures and linking back is welcome. Republishing whole pages is not.
No warranty
The figures are reproduced faithfully but come with the survey's own limits: sampling error, suppressed cells, and estimates that BLS states are not designed for comparison across years. Nothing here is financial, career or legal advice, and decisions made on it are your own.
Errors
If a figure here disagrees with the BLS source, the source is right and this site is wrong. Reports are welcome and are acted on.
